First Snow

This was another illustration that I drew using a Christmas themed prompt list as my guide. The theme for this day was “first snow.” I knew I wanted two little mice siblings to be experiencing the first snow together, the way children do, with their arms and hands outstretched towards the sky.

I also wanted to emphasize how small they were, hence the last autumn grass and mushrooms. I was very inspired by traditional Russian winter attire and how vibrant the colors are, so I tried to apply that same vibrancy here with these two.
