Northern Star

I drew this after finding yet another winter prompt called #chillustrations2021. The theme was “Northern Star” and this image is what came to mind. A mother polar bear and her cub on a cold and silent winter night. It seemed so serene and peaceful in my mind and I think I managed to portray that feeling here.

I have a deep love for Polar Bears so I wanted to use this as an opportunity to bring more awareness to their dwindling numbers brought on by global warming. I started a fundraiser for Polar Bears International on Instagram using this piece to announce the campaign. It’s something I plan on doing again in the near future.
